Hello, I am Sato.

I am a Japanese woman living in Sydney, Australia.

I am from Hokkaido which is an island in northern Japan and the second biggest island in Japan with a population of about 5 million. As the coldest region in Japan, the climate in Hokkaido is cool, which is 17 to 22 degrees in summer and -12 to -4 degrees in winter. Besides, it is covered with heavy snowfall in winter. Skiing was my compulsory subject in school, although I hated it.

On the other hand, Sydney has a mild climate throughout the year, even though sometimes the temperature goes up to 40 degrees, and it kills me. Sydney is a multicultural city that consists of people from over 180 nations. It is quite comfortable to live in Sydney as a foreigner, even though the cost of living is high.

I like doing exercises such as running, strength exercises, and yoga in my pastime. Working out is a very important part of my life since it helps me maintain my mental stability and allows me to get a good night's sleep.

One month ago, I opened my website and started my blog. Actually, I am not good at using a computer, social media, and that kind of stuff so, it gave me a lot of learning opportunities and it is so fun.

I use Japanese in my blog as well as English. My Japanese blogs mainly focus on my life in Australia and learning English. My English blogs are just journals.

I recently like to listen to audio content including audiobooks and podcasts, because I can listen to them while I am doing something else such as doing house chores, commuting, and walking. Therefore, I thought that when I wrote blogs, then I may make podcasts as well.

My speaking skills may also improve through podcasts if I continue recording them. Honestly, there is so much room for improvement in my pronunciation. Moreover, some listeners may leave comments. No one knows.

In Japan, children are taught to avoid mistakes and failure is not good, but I believe that we can learn many things from mistakes and failure. I should try a new challenge.

English is my second language, so you may find incorrect sentences.

It would be great help if you leave a comment for me.

Thank you for reading!
